HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

For some reason, it appears that my isn't working any more. They don't even like my login. I'd love to find out what's wrong, but I just got back from the trial and I have homework to do. I hope this isn't the second counter that's pooped out on me.

Tonight, in an effort to accumulate more government hours, I'm going to a trial being held at the high school. Apparently the appellate courts are trying to generate more interest in the legal system, so the judges and lawyers all pack up and travel to high schools around the state holding real trials. I believe that tonight's trial is somehow related to satellite dishes.

Halloween Pictures!!! Many thanks to R l (the bunny on the right) for taking most of them.

Today at school I got a "humble" comment from Jeremy about the party. Also, I should have some pictures to post soon. We'll see.

I've gotten two Halloween party comments so far from Rachel and Richard. Thanks to both of you.

Yeeha! I'm done with my paper! Now all I have to do is... read the three articles. (joy quickly fading)

ARRRGGGHH! I hate composition homework! In the next lets say five hours, I've got to type another page and a half then read and annotate three articles on why bad things happen to good people. ARRRGGGHH!

I've got so much junk to do today. The really depressing part is that I don't want to do any of it. It's amazing how when you're setting up a house for a Halloween party, you get a little behind with the schoolwork.

My throat's feeling a little scratchy tonight. I hope I'm not sick again.

I couldn't have asked for a better party last night. The bulk of the people started showing up at about 7:45, and from then on there was about thirty people at any one time. The dining room (food room), living room, and garage (music room) were comfortably full. I spent most of the night in the garage listening to and playing music. My friends Erol and Nick opened up the evening with some nifty rock music, then Big Sur/John the Concoroo/the Albino Cucumbers took the stage with their blend of blues and rock. Then, after a short jam with a bunch of people, I played eight of my , four completely electronic, and four electronic with guitar. I was pretty pleased with most of the show, but if I could do it again I would add a live part to the electronic pieces. I was told it was pretty boring to just sit and watch my computer. I finished up my set with a jam on a song called "Chickachicka" that went okay, but not spectacularly. I think I would change that next time I play, too. Oh well. Despite these two snags, the party went really well, and I got a lot of comments from people who liked it. Anyone reading this who happened to be there is welcome to email me their impressions of the party, and I'll be happy to post them.
Update: Pictures and comments have been posted here for your viewing pleasure.

Today, in preparation for the Halloween Party tomorrow, I'm going to go buy some stuff for my costume, carve a pumpkin, dress a mannequin to serve as a dead body, and help make food. Unfortunately it looks as though the weather tomorrow will be a tad colder than I had hoped for, so I guess we'll just have to party indoors.

Tonight I went to a zoning board meeting for my required government hours. Last grading period I procrastinated and had to get almost all my hours within two weeks. This time I'm starting earlier.
