Today was the first official Crappy Day of the year. Just as I set off to my first class this morning, the skies opened up, turning parking lots into harbors, road gutters into raging whitewater torrents, and my shoes into cold, wet sponges attached to my feet. While my umbrella seemed to keep my upper half relatively dry, it did nothing to protect my backpack or anything below the waist. I'm already on my second third fourth pair of socks.
