Well my Labor Day certainly didn't go to waste. While playing pool with Lee earlier today, I did something amazing. He had just broken, and it was my turn. In a series of seven quick shots, I sunk every single striped ball, leaving just the 8 which would have completed the game after just one turn. I missed it, unfortunately, but I came closer to running the table than I have ever done before. To my amazement, on Lee's subsequent turn, he, too, ran his half of the table but missed the 8 ball. Two turns later, I finally sunk the 8 and won that amazing game.
And in other game-related news, Doug and I completely annihilated Chris and Michael in tonight's Texas hold 'em poker tournament. Doug and I were the last two left in the three games we played, but I can't say which one of us won overall because two-person games takes forever (especially since Doug and I both play very conservatively). We just decided to start over each time to let Michael and Chris continue playing.
